Ride4Hope Foundation

To raise funds for Schools and deserving charities through its annual Cycle Tour in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Foundation. Ride4Hope has been set up for good governance and transparency purposes for all maters pertaining to the Nelson Mandela Legacy Ride4Hope and its development initiatives.



Thabo is the chief executive and founder shareholder of Thesele. He served articles at Deloitte & Touche, and has held several financial management positions and also worked as investment banker with Cazenove plc.

He is non-executive chairman of ICAS Southern Africa (Pty) Limited and a non-executive director of Prudential Investment Managers SA, non-executive director of Rhodes Food Group and a member of the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund’s Strategic Investment Committee.

He was also appointed a director of Leopard Transport Proprietary Limited (trading as Elite Truck Hire) with effect from October 2016. He was appointed to the Hulamin board in 2007


Dr Timmy Kedijang is the current President of IPASA since 2014. Dr Kedijang is a Medical Doctor by qualification, having graduated with a Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery (MBchB) from University of KwaZulu Natal.

Additionally he holds a Master’s of Science in Clinical Pharmacology (MSc Clinical Pharmacy) from the University of Aberdeen in the UK, and a diploma in Management Advanced Programme (MAP) from Wits Business School.

Dr Kedijang has nearly 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry with in-depth understanding of the healthcare environment in South Africa.

Luthando Kaka is the event director of the Nelson Mandela Legacy Ride4Hope as mandated by the Nelson Mandela Foundation in celebration of Nelson Mandela’s centenary year commemoration www.legacyride4hope.com. He also captains and co-founded the Transnet-Rand Water Professional Cycling Team.

Degree in Communication Science, National Diploma in Journalism, Luthando is a decorated National athlete(Cycling). He started his professional carrier as an intern at Independent Newspapers daily, Cape Argus. He further worked for Touchline Media’s Bicycling Magazine as an Editorial Assistant before taking up Cycling as a fulltime career, cycling on local and International circuit.

Luthando is former acting Chairman and current Board Member of Velokhaya, a leading NPO in Sport and Education development www.velokhaya.com. He is a Director at SMK, a Strategic Marketing Agency specializing in Sports sponsorship.

The Sport and Recreation ministerial Green book inclusion. Professional cyclist for a Danish Based Team; Glued & Marstrand Horsens Cycling Team for Two years and completed High performance training in Switzerland. In South Africa, Luthando rode for Medscheme Cycling Team before becoming Captain of the Bonitas Professional Cycling Team.


Sipho Mona is the General Manger at Velokhaya Life Cycling Academy, a leading education and sport organization www.velokhaya.com 

Sipho is also a former professional cyclist.Sipho has extensive knowledge in the sports marketing field as cofounder of a Strategic Marketing Agency.
